Welcome to Durham Mooting Society

We're the home of mooting at Durham - a form of advocacy where participants argue on points of law in front of a judge.

We equally welcome non-law students!

What is mooting, and what does our society offer?

Mooting is where participants act as barristers and argue over points of law in front of a judge. It's great for aspiring barristers, and for more generally getting to grips with the law.
